Clean Room Converting
We offer class 8 clean rooms for customers requiring material converting services with stringent particulate specifications. We can operate our Sysco Servo press, which offers unmatched rotary cutting technology, in a clean environment . This capability allows us to fulfill high volume material converting projects for customers in virtually any industry.
Ultrasonic Welding, and “Green” or Low Environmental Impact Converting
MCL makes every effort to minimize environmental impact in our operations. When specified by customers we use low VOC adhesives, and reuse or recycle scrap materials or containers. Processes such as ultrasonic welding, which fuse materials together without the use of an adhesive, can be considered a “green” converting process as it takes the adhesive material and VOCs out of the equation. We also work with a variety of customers that have Prop 65 considerations and recycling requirements that we are happy to facilitate.
Plotter Cutting Services for Vinyl, Plastic, Foam and Rubber
Plotter cutting is one of our many material converting capabilities. It is similar to laser cutting in that it does not require the use of a die and that it can tightly nest parts for maximal material utilization. Plotter cutting is often used for cutting vinyl parts, as these parts cannot be cut with a laser due to emissions.
